Due to the lack of public funding, Access Counseling has closed our doors permanently. Access was not approved for 2010 funding from the City of Boulder Human Services nor Boulder County Human Services for a proposed merger with the YWCA of Boulder County. Our board of directors has formed a dissolution committee and will be moving forward to dissolve the Family Resource Center, Inc. DBA Access Counseling.

Access helped people cope with the past, manage the present and prepare for the future. Access Counseling met the growing demand for services by providing low-cost counseling to individuals, families, adolescents and children. Our clients faced tough situations and life transitions and they relied on us. Our Shared Parenting Program provided a safe environment for parents to transfer their children without conflict and hostility and provided supervised and therapeutic visitation services.
On our website, you can find a list of referral agencies and individuals to contact for affordable/sliding scale counseling services. In addition, services are available at the Mental Health Center serving Boulder and Broomfield Counties. For the Shared Parenting services; please contact St. Vrain Family Resource Center or the Supervised Visitation Network.
Access Counseling was founded in 1974 and during our 35 years of operation, thousands of clients received counseling sessions provided by hundreds of graduate level (master's or doctorate) psychotherapy interns who were trained and supervised by licensed professional staff therapists.
